LIVING IN BENAHAVIS

Benahavis is known for the many restaurants that outline the main street leading up to a sunny square, often referred to as the gastronomic corner of the Costa del Sol. Not just traditional tapas but also more formal dining or foreign cuisines can be enjoyed out on the terraces or inside cosy restaurants.

If you want to go local, order the marinated pork fillet (solomillo de cerdo aliñado) whose recipe forms part of many Benahavis families’ traditions.

A highly recommendable by Beautytrends but less obvious choice is located on the outskirts of town, near the town hall; Escuela Hosteleria Benahavis. It's the local school for hospitality where students from Monday to Friday serve a degustation lunch menu with great value for money. Reservations are necessary and can be made by telephone or e-mail.
